How do you make sweet potatoes?

Question by : How do you make sweet potatoes?
I’m making sweet potatoes (yams) for thanksgiving. I used to buy Mrs. Pauls brand, untill they stopped making them, and now I have to make them myself. So what should I use to make the syrup I pour over the cooked potatoes. I know butter and brown sugar are necessities, but what else should go into them? I have read everything from cinnamon, to molasses, to maple syrup. What do you use or suggest I use? Candied sweet potatoes are our favorite part of thanksgiving dinner, so Thanks in advanced!

you don’t make sweet potatoes the earth does. you just cook them
