Chewy Peanut Butter Granola Bars
~ Gluten more recipes, treats and useful product reviews: Please join me at: www.facebook.com 1 2/3 cup Bob Red Mill gluten-free oats *** (If you do not gluten free, you can use regular oats) *** 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/3 cup Bob’s Red Mill whole ground flaxseed meal 1 c. Cinnamon 2 cups ~ combining all of the chopped nuts, dried fruit and chocolate chips of your choice 1/3 cup creamy peanut butter or crunchy ~ 1 c. 6 Tbl vanilla. Melted butter 1/4 cup honey DIRECTIONS: Preheat oven to 350 * Line an 8 x 8 with aluminum foil and spray with cooking spray Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl and stir in the nuts / fruit / chips butter in the microwave, add peanut butter and stand leave for a few minutes to soften the peanut butter. Honey and vanilla. Add all this to the oats and nuts / fruit / chip mixture. I have a wooden spoon and a spatula to make sure everything was covered. Press firmly into the pan. Golden brown bake for 25-35 minutes or until they are on the edges and slightly brown and soft in the middle. Remove from the pan with foil and allow to cool on a wire wreck. Cool completely before cutting. Cut into pieces the size you want. Wrap individually in plastic wrap and freeze in a resealable plastic bag or container.
